As a rule, fair-skinned and light-haired patients are ideal candidates for chemical peels; however that leaves out a large section of the population. African-Americans, Asians, and Latinos face many of the same skin challenges as their fairer-skinned friends – uneven skin tone, hyper-pigmentation, acne, acne scarring, large pores, dull texture, etc. I’ve had many patients ask me what products and procedures they can use safely – and truthfully I didn’t have a great solution for them – until now. Vi Peel is a chemical solution that is applied to the skin that is left on for five hours and then washed off at home. As the Vi Peel works, it causes the top layer of skin to slough or peel off, revealing the new, fresh, less wrinkled skin underneath.
