How Does the Smartlipo Procedure Work?
A very small cannula, or tube, (smaller than a wire coat hanger) containing a laser fiber is inserted into the skin. The cannula is moved back and forth delivering the laser's energy to the fat cells, causing them to rupture and easily drain away. Where is Smartlipo Performed?
All Smartlipo procedures are conducted by Dr. Cain in Innovative Aesthetics Houston’s sterile and safe out-patient medical facility. Smartlipo is performed under local anesthesia, so you are awake during the entire procedure. Smartlipo is an outpatient procedure and typically only one treatment is required. Results can be seen within a week, with continued improvement over three to six months. You can usually return to work within 48-hours and resume exercising after two weeks.
