Where Does Silk’n Work?
With Silk’n™, you can cost-effectively remove hair on any area of the body below the neck, including legs, underarms, arms and bikini line. Treatment sessions can take around 30 minutes for one leg, or ten minutes for each underarm.
Will Silk’n™ Work for Me?
The hair removal results for each person can be varied for many reasons. Hair color, density and location on the body all have an impact of the ultimate result. Black and dark brown hairs respond the best, although brown and light brown hairs will also respond but typically require more treatments. Silk’n™ cannot be used on tanned skin, naturally dark skin or skin that has just been exposed to the sun. This can result in adverse effects such as burns, blisters, and skin color changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation).
When used according to instructions, Silk’n™ treatments were safe and with minimal discomfort compared to waxing or professional laser treatments. During your Silk’n treatments, you can expect a pulse of light, as well as a warm and tingling sensation.
Is Silk’n™ Safe to Use at Home?
The safety and long-term hair reduction capabilities of Silk’n™ was tested in a multi-center clinical study involving four medical centers in North America and Israel. A total of 150 patients self treated with Silk’n™ in physicians’ offices as part of the study, and the initial hair count as well as the post-treatment hair count of these patients was monitored by the investigating physicians.
An average reduction of 50% in the hair count was monitored three months post three bi-weekly treatment sessions. No adverse effects were noted in the course of the study, and the users of Silk’n™ recorded an extremely high level of satisfaction with the device and their results.
Normal activity can be resumed after using Silk’n™ as long as no abnormal complication has been experienced. Side effects and complications are rare if Silk’n™ is used according to the instructions and precautions included with the device.
